1. Information We Do Not Collect
We want to be perfectly clear: We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information that identifies you. This includes, but is not limited to:

Any identifiers from your device

2. Information We Process (And How)
The core function of our app is to transform your photos. Here is how we handle your images:

Your Photos: The photo you select from your device's library is processed entirely on your device. It is never uploaded to our servers or stored by us.

Google's Gemini API: To generate the cartoon image, your selected photo is sent securely and directly to Google's Gemini 2.5 Flash API (a service provided by Google). This transmission is necessary to perform the image transformation you request.

Temporary Processing: The image data sent to Google is processed by them according to their privacy practices to generate your cartoon image and is then sent back to your device. We do not have access to, or control over, Google's servers. We do not store any of the images sent to or received from Google.

Prompt Data: The text "prompt" describing the desired cartoon style (e.g., "Disney/Pixar Style") is also sent to the Gemini API along with your image to guide the generation process.

3. Photo Library Access
The app requests access to your device's photo library solely for the purpose of allowing you to select a photo to transform. We do not read, access, or upload any other photos from your library. The app only uses the single image you explicitly choose.

4. Saving Images
You have the option to save the generated cartoon image to your device's photo library. This action is performed locally on your device. We do not have access to your saved photos.

5. In-App Purchases
The app uses the Apple App Store's infrastructure to handle all in-app purchases (e.g., upgrading to "Pro"). All payment information and transaction details are processed solely by Apple. We do not receive any of your financial information. We only receive a confirmation from Apple that your purchase was successful, which allows us to enable the "Pro" features within the app.

6. Local Data Storage (On Your Device)
The app stores a small amount of non-personal data locally on your device using iOS's AppStorage mechanism. This data includes:

disableWatermark: A simple Boolean (true/false) setting for your watermark preference.

lastGenerationTime: A timestamp of the last time a free user generated an image, used to enforce the 12-hour cooldown timer.

This information never leaves your device and is deleted if you uninstall the app.

7. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not collect personal data, so there is nothing to sell or rent to third parties.

We only share data with third parties in the following way:

Google LLC: As described in Section 2, we share your selected image and a style prompt with Google's Gemini API to provide the app's core functionality.

8. Children's Privacy
Cartoon Yourself is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with information, please contact us, and we will delete it.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
