Privacy Policy for LightVST

Overview
LightVST is a free, lightweight AudioUnit plugin host for macOS. Your privacy is important. This policy explains plainly what data LightVST does and does not collect.
The short version: LightVST collects nothing. All data stays on your device.

Data Collection
LightVST does not collect, transmit, store, or share any personal data. Specifically:

No analytics or usage tracking
No crash reporting sent to any server
No account creation or login
No cookies or web tracking of any kind
No data is ever sent over the internet


Microphone & Audio Access
LightVST requests access to your Mac's audio input solely to route your guitar signal through your chosen plugin in real time. This audio is processed locally on your device and is never recorded, saved, or transmitted anywhere.

Donations
The donation button in LightVST links to a third-party payment platform. Any payment or personal information you provide during a donation is handled entirely by that platform and is subject to their own privacy policy. LightVST itself never sees or handles your payment details.

Third-Party Plugins
LightVST loads AudioUnit plugins installed on your Mac. Those plugins are third-party software and may have their own data practices. LightVST has no control over and takes no responsibility for any data handling by plugins you choose to load.

Children's Privacy
LightVST does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to This Policy
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted with a new effective date. Since LightVST collects no data, meaningful changes are unlikely.
